Carpet Design Awards 2019

Winners of the Carpet Design Awards announced at DOMOTEX 2019

A total of 24 finalists, three from each category, were picked out from a total of 233 products submitted from 15 countries. For each of the award’s eight categories, the jury has selected three exclusive creations which they believe stand out from the rest in terms of design, quality and craftsmanship.

A jury of professionals, chaired by Michael Mandapati, carpet expert and founder of Warp & Werft, New York, selected the eight winning carpets on the basis of the design concept and design properties such as color, materials, structure and quality, as well as product sustainability and branding.

The winners are as follows: in the category Best Studio Artist Design: “Create & Connect: The Chameleon Carpet ” from Atelier Beate von Harten, in the category Best Modern Design Superior: “Spartan Plumage” from Zollanvari International, in the category Best Modern Design Deluxe: “Reggae” from Wool & Silk Rugs, in the category Best Transitional Design: “Balouch LightPink” from Rug Star by Jürgen Dahlmanns, in the category Best Flatweave Design; “Bijar” from Edelgrund GmbH, in the category Best Collection: “Happiness Collection” from Wool & Silk Rugs, in the category Best Interior: “Magnificent Old-Portland-Style House” from Rug Star by Jürgen Dahlmanns, in the category Best Communication: “Advertising Campaign” from Edelgrund GmbH.
