Surya senior vice president of business development, John Haste, accepts the America’s Magnificent Carpets Award from Kevin Malkiewicz of AmericasMart at a cocktail reception for award winners the Museum of Introductions.
The Harput collection comprises 72 machine made rugs that encompass the full spectrum of colors at a variety of vibrancies and designs including traditional center medallions, modern abstracts, paisley, damask, and bordered patterns. The winning Harput rug is machine made of polypropylene in a high pile, center medallion design. The design’s kaleidoscope of colors includes varying shades of garnet, burnt orange, saffron, dark blue, teal, white, and light gray.
