The second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) commenced today at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The mega event was inaugurated by the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.This year’s edition promises to be even bigger and better than the previous one. The event aims to showcase the state’s rich culture, crafts, and cuisine to the world. Products manufactured and produced in various regions of Uttar Pradesh will be on display, along with a special focus on Indian and Vietnamese flavors to attract visitors. Cultural performances will also be organized to give a glimpse into the state’s vibrant heritage.Rakesh Sachan, Minister of MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, said that the UP International Trade Show has become a brand for Uttar Pradesh on the global stage. With over 2500 stalls and exhibitions, the event is showcasing the state’s skills to the world. More than 350 buyers from 70 countries have already registered to participate, and this number is expected to grow further. He added that over 3.5 lakh people are expected to attend the event, which is higher than the previous year.**Showcasing Products:**The Minister of Gramodyog stated that various departments of Uttar Pradesh are showcasing their innovative efforts and products at the UP International Trade Show 2024. Departments such as ODOP, Khadi and Village Industries, Rural Development and Culture, and Information are showcasing their achievements through various exhibitions. The state’s achievements in defense manufacturing are also being highlighted through this event. Technical sessions on startups, e-commerce, and exports are also being organized to provide a new direction to entrepreneurs and youth.
