ICExpo from 11th to 14th October 2025 at Carpet Expo Mart, Bhadohi

The India Carpet Expo, now in its 49th edition, is being organized for the 4th time in Bhadohi, famously known as the “City of Carpets.” Recognized as Asia’s largest exhibition of handmade carpets, rugs, and floor coverings, the Expo serves as a premier global platform for showcasing India’s rich weaving heritage and craftsmanship to international buyers.
Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh – The Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) is set to host the 49th edition of the India Carpet Expo from 11th to 14th October 2025 at Carpet Expo Mart, Bhadohi, one of Asia’s largest exhibitions of handmade carpets, rugs and floor coverings.

The entire Committee of Administration of CEPC is actively engaged to make this Expo a grand success. The members include Shri Kuldeep Raj Wattal (Chairman), Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Shri Aslam Mahboob, Shri Bodh Raj Malhotra, Shri Deepak Khanna, Shri Husain Jafar Husaini, Shri Imtiaz Ahmad, Shri Piyush Kumar Baranwal, Shri Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Shri Mehraj Yasin Jan, Shri Mukesh Kumar Gombar, Shri Mohammad Wasif Ansari, Shri Ravi Patodia, Shri Rohit Gupta, Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Shri Shaukat Khan, Shri Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, and Shri Surya Mani Tiwari. All members have expressed their firm belief that this edition of the India Carpet Expo will be a milestone for the Indian handmade carpet industry, opening new avenues for growth and global outreach.
This year, the Expo will host more than 150 exhibitors and welcome 442 overseas buyers registered from 67 country across the globe, reaffirming its position as a key business and networking platform for the carpet sector. The Council has selected around 200 overseas buyers have been extended of hospitality package.
Shri Kuldeep Raj Wattal, Chairman, CEPC, stated, “The India Carpet Expo has emerged as a strategic platform for strengthening India’s position in the global handmade carpet market. At a time when the sector is facing tariff-related challenges in major importing countries, the Council has been actively engaging with the Government to address these concerns, including its efforts related to the proposed India–United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (UK FTA). We are confident that through continuous dialogue and strong policy support, we will be able to secure better market access and competitiveness for Indian handmade carpets. The support extended by both the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh has been instrumental in enabling the industry to navigate challenges and expand into new markets. This Expo is not just a trade fair — it is a symbol of the resilience and global aspirations of our artisans, weavers, and exporters.”
Dr. Smita Nagarkoti, Officiating Executive Director-cum-Secretary, CEPC, added that the Expo is expected to generate significant business opportunities, enhance India’s global market share, and further strengthen its reputation as a leading producer of handmade carpets and floor coverings.
